Natural moments, simplicity, genuine connections and human interaction are the heart of my work and an expression of what I am most passionate about. I am in love with telling stories. And not just perfect stories - the messy, vulnerable and imperfect ones. There’s a rare magic to a photograph telling a story. The overwhelming feeling of nostalgia when you look at an image. A feeling you can’t shake and don’t ever want to. That is why I do this. Why I capture humans in love, the beautiful mess of motherhood and intricacies of your family that no one else notices. To preserve the art of nostalgia for years to come.

Hello, I’m Claire.
I’m a self-taught portrait and lifestyle photographer that has an eminent belief that capturing moments in time is what I was called to do. I find beauty in the silly and sweet moments, mundane and everyday life. I strive to be in the present and live where my feet are because there is so much beauty to be seen in the now.
I am an Iowa native, wife to the man of my dreams, and mama to three darling little ones. I spend most of my days dreaming up new home projects, baking fresh loaves of sourdough bread and when the season comes, putting together fresh cut bouquets from our backyard flower garden.
I love the first sip of coffee in the morning. I dream to be a homestead mama and have a backyard that is full of home-grown vegetables and chickens running around. Concerts, sandy beaches, sunsets and a fresh squeezed margarita are some of my favorites things. My days consist of too much caffeine, babies on my hips and creating every chance I get.
